Ben’s execs Ronnie Dragoon, Todd Silverstein, and Jaclyn Buccheri  will appear on the show “Real Food” with Monsignor Vlaun. The first airing of the show will be this Sunday 9:30 PM on Telecare TV. Check your local listings for channel number. Future airings will be as follows:

Ben’s Gives Moms the Day Off With Mother’s Day Offerings

Ben’s Kosher Delicatessen, Restaurant & Caterers is making this Mother’s Day a little more special for Mom with dine-in and catering specials at its seven locations.

Customers who dine in at the restaurant will enjoy a bowl of Ben’s homemade soup or house salad, and coffee, tea, or Ben’s bottomless beverage with a choice of three entrée specials:

● Chicken Marsala — served with rice pilaf and sautéed spinach. Price: $21.99

● Garlic & Herb Baked Salmon — served with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. Price: $25.99

● Boneless Rib Eye Steak — served with roasted red potatoes and sautéed string beans. Price: $29.99

Customers may also add a bowl of soup, bottomless beverage, and three homemade rugelach to any regularly priced sandwiches or entrees in the dining room for an additional $7.49.

SOLO EATS: BEN'S

Sitting at the counter of a bustling Midtown kosher delicatessen for lunch, absorbed in a Dr. Brown’s soda and a corned beef sandwich in the company of fellow lone eaters, is a faded New York City tradition.

This counter culture was once common to the city’s lunchtime hours but has declined as delis have vanished. Kosher food is expensive these days, and the city’s flagship delicatessens, such as Katz’s and 2nd Avenue Deli, are better known as historic culinary destinations than everyman canteens, but the solo counter lunch still thrives at Ben’s. Ronnie Dragoon, CEO and founder of Ben's kosher delicatessens (which has a thriving restaurant in Boca Raton), appeared in the film and thinks it will be good for the "deli" industry — about restaurants which feature recipes and culinary garnishes brought by Jews from all over Europe that were introduced to America in the late 19th- and early 20th-centuries. Read the Article (PDF)

It’s fitting that the grand opening of Ben’s in Scarsdale was on Tuesday, January 13 (a private party was held Monday night for friends, family, politicians—and lucky journalists), just one day before National Hot Pastrami Sandwich Day.
