Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
We at Ben’s are very fussy about our product, and our customers have come to expect no less. You will be responsible for maintaining that expectation of quality. Fried and sautéed items prepared in the kitchen for the counter and dining room will be your special responsibility. You will prepare food items within established Ben’s guidelines; you will be responsible for maintaining appropriate amount of steam table food items and ensure the quality of the product; prepare appropriate garnishes for every plate presentation. Maintaining a safe, clean and sanitary kitchen work station is always a must.
Education: A Degree in a post secondary culinary arts training program is desirable. You must have the ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Experience: One year experience as a line cook in a high volume operation is required.
Temperament: You must be calm and cool under pressure, and be able to work well with coworkers in the kitchen and the dining room.
Physical Demands: You must be able to move about in close quarters, and must be able to handle fast work pace for extended hours.
